Closure: Original hollow blown glass stopper with juice hole in the bottom, embossed on top "KLINES PATENT OCT 27 63" as well as with additional lightly embossed lettering that reads (backwards) in multiple straight lines: "HOMER BROOKE / MOULD MAKER / WHITE & CENTER", with another line of lettering that is less distinct but probably is "NEW YORK". Mr. Brooke's prolific mold making business was located at the corner of White & Center Streets in New York City in the 1870's. Many of the molds for the iconic oversize advertising jars created for the 1876 Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia are marked on their bases for this maker.
