Size:  HALF GALLON

Color:  MEDIUM AMBER

Closure:  zinc cap

Appearance:  sparkling glass

Condition:  edge flaking on the ground mouth

Embossing:  strong

Base:  "III"

Age:  1880's

Availability:  A beautiful example. These are believed to be a western-made jar. The correct closure is thought to be the "MFJCo" cap (see lot 420 in the current auction).
