Description

Size:  QUART (type II)

Color:  DEEP AMBER

Closure:  a fine lugged CFJCo zinc cap

Appearance:  crude and sparkling glass throughout

Condition:  edge flaking on the ground mouth

Embossing:  strong

Base:  "D235" and note the unusual positioning of the mold number, above center.

Age:  late 1800's

Availability:  a scarce old colored Mason and a striking example
