Size:  HALF GALLON

Color:  AQUAMARINE

Closure:  the glass cap insert is embossed "QUEEN JAR PATENTED NOV 2, 1869" and this date matches the base of the jar

Appearance:  shiny glass

Condition:  normal flaking on the ground mouth, edge flakes on the glass insert lid

Embossing:  strong both sides

Base:  "28D" encircled by "PATD NOV 2 1869"

Age:  1870's
