Size: PINT
Color: GINGER ALE type color
Closure: zinc cap
Appearance: sparkling glass with a light whittled effect
Condition: normal nicking of the ground mouth
Embossing: strong
Base: "5"
Age: late 1800's
Availability: Scarce. Note that later machine-made jars from the post WWI era, in which selenium was used as a de-colorizer, are known to turn light brown under irradiation. This is typically not the case for earlier hand-blown glass from the 1800's like this one, so the color may possibly be natural. But we leave it to you to make that judgement.
