August 2022 Auction - Closed (Closed #2305266)

A rare glass house "solid pour" made in a cut-off mold Woodbury WGW salesman's sample jar. This operation was often done at the beginning of the work day in order to heat up the mold for production use. The resulting "blank" would rarely have been kept, but rather would've been tossed back into the glass pot for recycling, hence the rarity. Most likely one of the workers kept this one for a take-home souvenir. Contributing further to the scarcity, there are only a handful of these sample jars known to exist, as they were a very limited production. This is the only known solid pour for this mold. Remarkable condition with no chips or cracks, an open bubble or two. Note that the mold was filled all the way to the top of the blowover section, creating this amazing glass house artifact.
