Closure: Original 3-piece iron clamp assembly, and a beautifully and authentically made replica glass lid. Due to a built-in design flaw in these jars, most of the original glass lids eventually broke in half during normal use, when the clamp was closed with a rubber gasket in place. It is fortunate that someone has created these very fine & near-flawless replicas made of real glass and in matching color, so that the jars can now be collected and displayed in complete condition.
