Note that this version has a slightly smaller lettering style, and a "font" that adheres more closely to the style found on the BALL BROS BUFFALO NY zinc caps, hinting that this one is probably an earlier Ball-made cap. The Sun-Moon-Star logo is seen front-embossed on some MASONS PATENT 1858 half gallon jars which have "BALL" on the reverse.
