Closure: original glass screw cap is in good shape
Appearance: shiny glass
Condition: crack in the back, and the entire mouth is missing and has been ground flat to the shoulder, so that the lid simply rests on the shoulder
Embossing: strong
Base: a serified "1" embossed backwards
Age: 1880's
Availability: Rare.....the jar displays fine, or if you simply needed a Hoosier Jar lid, it's in nice shape. From the collection of the late Jeff Gindling of Indiana.
