Closure: dome-style heavy glass lid and early arched style cast iron yoke clamp with thumbscrew (glass lid has haze but no damage)
Appearance: jar is shiny
Condition: near perfect, with one pin-head size flake on the lip
Embossing: strong, and note the truncated lettering, which is the result of this jar having been blown in a mold that was created by cutting down an early square shouldered pint mold
Base: unmarked
Age: late 1800's
