Closure: Original cast iron clamp assembly consisting of a cast iron cage mounted to the mouth of the jar, plus the dome-shaped cast iron cap, and the cast iron thumbscrew. The metal has some overall oxidation pitting, but is still quite solid and some of the patent lettering is still readable.
Appearance: sparkling glass
Condition: very good, the interior has two partly-open bubbles
