Size: HALF GALLON approximately, measuring about 11-1/4" tall and about 4-1/2" in base diameter
Color: SAPPHIRE BLUE
Closure: applied ring collar mouth, which is made for a cork stopper to be sealed with wax
Appearance: whittly and sparkling glass
Condition: excellent....the only flaw being some nicking on the exposed sheared lip as shown, and there is a drip of extra glass on the neck with a flake as shown

Base: IRON PONTIL SCAR
Age: 1850's
Availability: Rare, this scarce Pittsburgh form is typically found in aqua to ball blue shades of color, or rarely, in green. This shocking bright blue colored example is an extreme rarity, or possibly even singular. A big, bold, beautiful jar. A recent find that's fresh to the market.
