Closure:  an old zinc cap that is not original and doesn't engage the threads, but looks good on the jar

Appearance:  shiny glass

Condition:  minor flaking on the ground mouth

Availability: scarce oversize Mason, similar to the Masons Cross 1858 gallon jar in shape, but unmarked
