A pedestal base mixer jar/bowl embossed on the bottom "PATENT PENDING S&S TRADE MARK REG US PAT OFF 852 VERNON AVE LONG ISLAND CITY NEW YORK". Original top section made of glass with permanently attached cast iron mixer mechanism. The base is amethyst tinted, and the original glass upper section is clear. The raised lettering on the main wheel reads "HUTCHINSON & NEW YORK PAT APPL FOR". Beautiful condition throughout with not so much as a flake. Overall height is about 9-3/4" and the base is 7" wide at the top and about 4-1/8" high to the lip. Rare.
