Description

Size:  PINT

Color:  BALL BLUE

Closure:  glass lid with 2-piece wire bail

Appearance:  sparkling glass

Condition: good condition, with a tiny flake at the front bail socket

Embossing:  very strong

Base:  "10"

Age:  early 1900's

Availability:  Extremely rare, with only 3 examples known, one of them being in the Harper collection. It is not certain who was the intended proprietor of this jar. It is unknown who Ball Bros made these for, but the lack of examples would suggest that this slug plate mold may have been done merely for a trial run or test run and ultimately never used for production purposes.
