Closure:  push-down style grooved ring wax sealer mouth finish

Appearance:  shiny glass

Condition:  no damage, but has a short manufacturer's cooling fissure in the bottom of the wax channel, which is not unusual for this series, see picture

Embossing:  strong

Base:  pontil scar

Age:  c1860

Availability:  a scarce early figural jar
