Closure: button style glass insert is very similar to the original but is from a gauze jar (sm flake on top of the lid)
Appearance: sparkling glass
Condition: normal flaking of the ground mouth
Embossing: pictorial is strong, lettering is medium
Base: "4", and note also that a previous collector has lightly etched their Social Security number into the base of the jar. This could be buffed off.
Age: late 1800's
Availability: scarce and a great looking example of this iconic Canadian sealer
