Condition: no damage including an excellent ground lip with very little flaking
Embossing: strong, and note the hourglass figure was the result of cutting the previous HGW monogram out of the mold, although the tips of the letter characters are still visible at the bottom corners of the hourglass
Base: "PATd MAY 10 1870" encircling a "2"
