Closure: A fine original cast iron Willoughby stopple in beautiful untouched condition and retaining the original gasket. This stopper appears to have always been with the jar, not a later marriage.
Appearance: sparkling glass
Condition: Two small flakes on the lip. Note that we've yet to see an example of this jar with a flawless lip...they usually have small prying flaws from normal usage, due to the sharp-cornered design of the mouth. This one is much better than most.
