Size: Ovoid jar with applied lug handles measuring about 9-1/4" tall
Color: salt glazed stoneware with a brushed blue slip leaf-shaped highlight on the impressed maker's mark and brushed blue slip outlines at the handles
Appearance: good
Condition: flat chips on the side of the lip, heel flake appears to be in the making (under the glaze)
Base: unmarked
Availability: A scarce early jar with a great ovoid shape. The stamped mark is for IM MEAD of Portage County Ohio.
