Closure:  heavy applied ring collar mouth, crudely applied with glass dripping down the neck, made for a cork stopper to be sealed with wax

Appearance:  sparkling glass

Condition:  good

Embossing:  strong

Base: iron pontil scar

Age:  1850's

Availability: scarce in this appealing deep color, and a beautiful early jar
