Size:  about 7" tall and about 4-1/2" in base diameter

Color:  colorless

Closure:  original glass stopper, and the jar has outwardly-folded lip and a ground inside neck to accept the stopper

Appearance:  good with a few traces of haze

Condition:  no damage

Embossing:  n/a

Base: pontil scar

Age:  1860's

Availability: a rare early Pittsburgh district jar
