Description

Size:  HALF GALLON +

Color:  AQUAMARINE

Closure:  original dome-shaped glass lid and a cast iron yoke clamp of the period (very similar to the original, but for a Moore's jar)

Appearance:  crude glass texture

Condition:  small edge flakes on the outer lip, glass lid has edge chip

Embossing:  strong

Base: unmarked

Age:  1860's

Availability: scarce early jar and a great looking specimen
